Folder Lock is a full suite solution for all your data security needs. It lets you keep your personal files protected in a variety of ways, in both PC and portable drives and offers optional backup of protected files to an online storage.
Folder Lock comes with a perfect combination of seven (7) security tools, letting you encrypt your important files using 256-bit on-the-fly encryption; back them up in real-time to an online storage, and store them to any portable device. The program also lets you lock files, folders and drives; save your personal information in Wallets; shred files and clean your Windows History.

Folder Lock 6 is a great utility that enables users to hide, protect, encrypt, and basically lock individual files, folders and drives. They can define access levels, entry attempts, actions, passwords, and other options to secure data.
Security goes from password protecting a folder to applying one of the two types of encryption, with the 256-bit Blowfish algorithm being the most secure. The app hides delicate files and information. When booting, all of those hidden folders will seem to have disappeared, and the only way to find them is using Folder Lock, protected by password.
The Advanced features are accessible in the Options menu. Users can set files to be shredded, force the computer to shut down after false entry attempts, erase document history and more. It even protects USB Drives and locks CD/DVDs.
New features include Windows 7 full file system integration. And if the drive crashes or Folder Lock is reinstalled, files will be found and unlocked.
If you need to keep certain files to yourself, you should definitely give Folder Lock a try. The demo version is only capable of working with the files under 25MB.

Comment: To secure my most personal data from my roommates, I have been looking for different solution but
wasn’t able to find the one that exactly suit my needs within my limited budget. I am glad that I
discussed my concern about security with my brother in law who recommended folder lock to secure my
personal data. Its really secure and keeps me at peace when I am not around my PC. There are some
valuable features that I haven’t found in any security software yet. It’s a complete security
application that is must have.

Comment: Folder Lock was recommended to me by my friends at the bar. I basically use this application for
protecting my sensitive client data secure, but I know the application has so much more to offer.
I'm quite satisfied with how the application is so easy to operate, yet offers that many data
protection features. Overall, very easy to use!
Comment: I don't know much about giving opinions on software, for me it's excellent because it helps protect
my data the way I want. I use lock files to save accidental deletion of data from my kids at home
and use the encryption thingy to strongly protect my crucial data when I am at work. I guess this is
what every software should be like, easy, simple and reliable.
